The referee ignored Cuervo FC's protests and gave Gilberto Toli a yellow card for diving instead. Gilberto Toli kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Pedro Joachim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Madeo having to make a save. Christian Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Quintun in the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Pujol's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Quintun came free, but Christian Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pujol's Jaime Joachim got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The wind increased when Nicanor Quintun made the kick off in the second half. Cuervo FC's Rafael Inautzi got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Quintun in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Llorienzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute Nicanor Quintun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cuervo FC booed when Pujol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Niguel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Jaime Joachim from long distance, 98 minutes into the match, got Diego Madeo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Pujol's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
