After some careless play in the Chuquis defense, Antonio Rik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Abalos. The Chuquis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Abalos should have stopped the shot. Antonio Rik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Abalos came out and tried to block the shot, but Antonio Rik slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 16th minute. VELEZ's Eloy Mon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Cristofol in the 20th minute of play. If Efrain Corderun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 23 minutes of play, VELEZ's Efrain Corderun made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Abalos was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the match, Efrain Corderun notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Chuquis's Benito Abalos. Benito Abalos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Baldomiro Cristofol kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cornelio Rosario charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Chuquis's zone, Dionisio Beliran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Abalos came out of the goal and Dionisio Beliran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 played minutes Chuquis got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Rosario. Efrain Corderun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Benito Abalos came out of the goal and Dionisio Beliran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Antonio Rik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VELEZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Rik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rene Cebo made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by VELEZ's Dionisio Beliran. If Antonio Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that VELEZ were the better team. VELEZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
