An unexpectedly hard shot by Angel Seguinus in the 23rd minute of play forced Lima FC's goalkeeper Anthony Di Giandomenico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Tajo charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Angel Admon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Ciceron when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 93 played minutes GRUPOSIMA FC got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Cordarin. The supporters of Lima FC booed when GRUPOSIMA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Cordarin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
