VELEZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Efrain Corderun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Medardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo De Francesco charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduardo De Francesco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Eduardo De Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Olando in the 20th minute of play forced VELEZ's goalkeeper Eloy Mon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The tension between the VELEZ and the San Lorenzo de Mar del players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Antonio Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. Leonides Medardo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Olando to make the kick off. VELEZ's attentive Anacleto Tibalt managed to snatch the ball when Eduardo De Francesco made a throw-in in the 55th minute of the game. Haroldo Solustiano hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62nd match minute, San Lorenzo de Mar del was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Solustiano to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to San Lorenzo de Mar del getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jorge Ordono hit a great ball. After 72 minutes of play, San Lorenzo de Mar del's Domingo Olando made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eloy Mon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87thth minute of the game Efrain Corderun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo de Mar del's Leonides Medardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anacleto Tibalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Medardo having to interfere. The supporters of VELEZ booed when San Lorenzo de Mar del was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Montrelle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anacleto Tibalt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
