The crowd rose to their feet as Tapebicuá's Virgilio Loi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hermengildo Macario. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pingolion's Carlos Raitin in the 54th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Alberto Lucian was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Tapebicuá through an amazing save. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Cristian Dolberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tapebicuá's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Dolberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 89th minute Virgilio Loi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Macario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Tapebicuá booed when Pingolion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Levi Stuyck didn't get a good kick on the ball.
