Osvaldo Asteri charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Asteri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute Levi Stuyck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Cortez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute Osvaldo Asteri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Macario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Cortez was a little too slow when Carlos Raitin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Hermengildo Macario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Medina in the 11th minute of the match. Wilfredo Abel might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Cortez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Abel ran back to his position shaking his head. 21 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Asteri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hermengildo Macario. Pingolion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Asteri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 25thth minute of the game Kurtuluş Tuğcu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pingolion's Hermengildo Macario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Freddy Solustiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gaita´s club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Jaime Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Raitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Gaita´s club's Artemio Medina got a free kick in the 39th minute. Hermengildo Macario didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kurtuluş Tuğcu went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Abel to make the kick off. Gaita´s club were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Pingolion's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Freddy Solustiano took the corner. The corner led Gaita´s club's Freddy Solustiano to fire away a dangerous shot which Hermengildo Macario despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 52 minutes, Osvaldo Asteri made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Pingolion's Hermengildo Macario tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaime Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Raitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Raitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Freddy Solustiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Macario having to interfere. Pingolion's Hermengildo Macario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurtuluş Tuğcu in the 69th minute of play. Manuel Montay struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jaime Cortez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pingolion. In the 74th match minute, Gaita´s club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Jaunzuria to maneuver through the defense. Wilfredo Abel placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 77 played minutes Gaita´s club got a freekick which was hit by Dawid Szotek. 81 minutes into the match, Pingolion's goalkeeper Hermengildo Macario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Asteri. The crowd rose to their feet as Kurtuluş Tuğcu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hermengildo Macario. That made the score 1-6 in the 89 minute of play. Gaita´s club's Marcial Argenis was substituted for Kurtuluş Tuğcu. Wilfredo Abel shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pingolion's goalkeeper Hermengildo Macario, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaita´s club's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
