Spectators: 7516 (Terracing: 5638, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oskar Seiler started the match with the kick off. Desiderio Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Enmanuel in the 3rd minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Ruben Etxepare sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donato Mantzio skillfully saved the ball. If Cristo Tiadoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lagunillas FC booed when Sporting Cadáver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Tiadoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Mantzio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wanderson Cordeiro in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Eulalio Selatse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes Sporting Cadáver got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Figueiredo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomáš Mašlej got free with Donato Mantzio in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Ruben Etxepare got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donato Mantzio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sporting Cadáver's Paulo Enmanuel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Enmanuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Desiderio Ekaitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Enmanuel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 43rd minute, Paulo Enmanuel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalmacio Kaiet during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Enmanuel in the 69th minute of play forced Lagunillas FC's goalkeeper Desiderio Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th match minute, Lagunillas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Kaiet to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Sporting Cadáver's Desiderio Ekaitz threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo Enmanuel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lagunillas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! Lagunillas FC:s Desiderio Ekaitz showed great skill when he stopped Pedrão Figueiredo:s penalty.
