Hilario Mendebal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ramiro Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gervasio Burni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bauti FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gervasio Burni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Cortez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bauti FC's Mateo Claus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Lope in the 45th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Gervasio Burni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scotland 1873's Ramiro Cortez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Erasmo Gorosti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Scotland 1873's goal looked a bit too open when Gervasio Burni came free, but Ramiro Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Claus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Marin in the 79th minute of play. Bauti FC's Gervasio Burni got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
