Osoitz Rescuro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Bahia Sporting Club's Osoitz Rescuro got control of the ball when Severino Boniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Osoitz Rescuro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Boniel in the 25th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Hugo Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahia Sporting Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bompland AFC the free kick. Gilberto Guillem's late challenge caught a Bompland AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
