To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ayacucho's Anibal Herensuge got a free kick in the 9th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Luciano Gaitan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguilas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Gaitan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nemesio Urdin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvio Bento hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Aguilas FC got a corner. Ayacucho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evaristo Rocio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aguilas FC's Evaristo Rocio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nemesio Urdin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Aguilas FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eloy Eder hit a great ball. A hard shot 30 in the game by Luciano Gaitan from a close distance when the talented Nemesio Urdin managed to make a qualified save. Ayacucho's players were relieved. In the 37th minute, Venancio Evarado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evaristo Rocio hit a great ball. Aguilas FC's Enzo Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Herensuge in the 75th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Anibal Herensuge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enzo Palos. Aguilas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anibal Herensuge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Nemesio Urdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Gaitan in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Luciano Gaitan made a precise shot to the right of Nemesio Urdin. Ayacucho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Nemesio Urdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Gaitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anibal Herensuge in the 91st minute of play forced Aguilas FC's goalkeeper Enzo Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eriberto Caetano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. During the 96th minute of the match Godofredo Sansone completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Godofredo Sansone a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 97 played minutes Aguilas FC got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Sansone.
