The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Bompland AFC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Higinio Pirro hit a great ball. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bompland AFC's goalkeeper Ulises Elixio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ulises Elixio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Herensuge, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Bompland AFC's Ulises Elixio got control of the ball when Miguel Remicio tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Remicio in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulises Elixio saved Bompland AFC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Jairo Errando put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nemesio Urdin. Nemesio Urdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Boniel in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bompland AFC's Aldo Bero got a free kick in the 26th minute. Miguel Remicio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Ulises Elixio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Ulises Elixio managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Ayacucho's Miguel Remicio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ulises Elixio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anibal Herensuge in the 45th minute. After some careless play in the Ayacucho defense, Severino Boniel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nemesio Urdin. The Ayacucho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nemesio Urdin should have stopped the shot.

Jairo Errando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nemesio Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Evarado in the 54th minute of play forced Bompland AFC's goalkeeper Ulises Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Dei charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Dei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ayacucho getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Omar Dei hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Jairo Errando got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nemesio Urdin made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Jairo Errando sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, Bompland AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jedrzej Rykaczewski to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the game, Jairo Errando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Nemesio Urdin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ayacucho's Gerardo Salvino got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 80 played minutes Ayacucho got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Evarado. Ulises Elixio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Remicio in the 83rd minute of the match. Nemesio Urdin didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Ulises Elixio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Herensuge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Bompland AFC's Nico Sumpena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nemesio Urdin. That made the score 1-5 after 97 minutes of play. The Ayacucho fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bompland AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
