Zeledon Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Gonsalve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zacarias Horado got free with Zeledon Mateus in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Domingo Orlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Salvador Amaya came free in the 47th minute and tried to tip the ball over Zeledon Mateus, but to the joy of Otumpa's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Domingo Orlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Mateus having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Matias Gonsalve made the kick off in the second half. Zeledon Oihan did an outstanding performance 53 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-0 to the right of an irritated Zeledon Mateus in the goal. Zacarias Horado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Mateus having to make a save. Zeledon Oihan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Mateus having to interfere. Zacarias Horado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Zeledon Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
