An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Urbano Eron got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Paulino Oliverios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, LOS GUITRASOS's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Veronica came free, but Hermengildo Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Oliverios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hermengildo Manni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Hermengildo Manni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Veronica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Paulino Oliverios came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the BorrachosySucios FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Oliverios couldn't finish the play. Silverio Veronica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermengildo Manni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Oliverios in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Segundo Duardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LOS GUITRASOS and the BorrachosySucios FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to LOS GUITRASOS getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Segundo Duardo hit a great ball. BorrachosySucios FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Juan Johans in the 49th minute. BorrachosySucios FC's Juan Johans was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hermengildo Manni in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of BorrachosySucios FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of LOS GUITRASOS:s goal. Walter Mazanti shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silverio Veronica got free with Hermengildo Manni in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Silverio Veronica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Silverio Veronica managed to get in a good position for a shot. BorrachosySucios FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Veronica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermengildo Manni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 73 minutes, Silverio Veronica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BorrachosySucios FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silverio Veronica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermengildo Manni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaston Hernando's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Silverio Veronica elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. LOS GUITRASOS's Hermengildo Manni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save LOS GUITRASOS from getting a goal against them. Hermengildo Manni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaston Hernando in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbano Eron in the 98th minute of play forced BorrachosySucios FC's goalkeeper Nunez Hever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 99th minute Segundo Duardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Hever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
