But to his dismay, Everardo Piearres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as El Famoso Chupa Cabra's Prudencio Amaya slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Igor Hever. That made the score 1-2 after 47 minutes of play. After the first half Funes Fútbol Club were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Everardo Piearres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. David Rioja hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The Funes Fútbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Hever should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Funes Fútbol Club's Everardo Piearres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Jerano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 70 minutes, Prudencio Amaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Famoso Chupa Cabra and the Funes Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to El Famoso Chupa Cabra getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Prudencio Amaya hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, Funes Fútbol Club's Santo Rudolfo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaspar Jerano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 78th minute, Omar Lehen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Famoso Chupa Cabra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Celso Cambranes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Igor Hever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Lehen in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Funes Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Lehen came free, but Igor Hever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Funes Fútbol Club were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over El Famoso Chupa Cabra's much stronger midfield.
