Spectators: 7495 (Terracing: 5622, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Everardo Piearres started the match with the kick off. Funes Fútbol Club's Igor Hever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Izotz in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Siro Goito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Igor Hever was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Everardo Piearres came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Funes Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Piearres couldn't finish the play. When Nicolas Satordi fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yamal Cornudo Fútbol Club's protests and gave Nicolas Satordi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Yamal Cornudo Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Nicolas Satordi hit a great ball. Everardo Piearres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Kusko charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Kusko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Funes Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Kusko. In the 36th match minute, Yamal Cornudo Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Celio to maneuver through the defense. Everardo Piearres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Funes Fútbol Club's Santo Rudolfo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alonzo Lordi. That made the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play. Alonzo Lordi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Piearres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nereo Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Siro Goito was the one to do the kick off. Funes Fútbol Club's attentive Severiano Lamberto managed to snatch the ball when Nunez Bemabe made a throw-in in the 57th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Haroldo Quintun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alonzo Lordi came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Funes Fútbol Club's Everardo Piearres. But to his dismay, Everardo Piearres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Everardo Piearres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nereo Izotz struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Igor Hever didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yamal Cornudo Fútbol Club. Igor Hever didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Izotz went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Fausto Nastasio hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Yamal Cornudo Fútbol Club played a much better game than Funes Fútbol Club and deserved their victory. The Funes Fútbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
