An unexpectedly hard shot by Jithu Keng in the 3rd minute of play forced Lonquimay's goalkeeper Cosme Ermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosme Ermano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cornelio Claus went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Frans got free with Erasmo Sabino in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isidro Gumaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Erasmo Sabino made a huge save. After 16 minutes of play, Soccer City FC's Cornelio Claus made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosme Ermano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Cornelio Claus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosme Ermano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of Lonquimay booed when Soccer City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loco Firme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Cornelio Claus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosme Ermano. Lonquimay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Claus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After 30 played minutes Lonquimay got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Ixona. In the 31st minute Cornelio Claus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosme Ermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantino Basualdo scored 0-5 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosme Ermano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th match minute, Soccer City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Claus to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Lonquimay's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Basualdo came free, but Cosme Ermano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidro Gumaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Erasmo Sabino made a huge save. When Constantino Basualdo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Soccer City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Basualdo couldn't finish the play. Alfonso Jerico hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquin Frans to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Lonquimay's goal looked a bit too open when Jithu Keng came free, but Cosme Ermano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Lonquimay's Cosme Ermano got control of the ball when Constantino Basualdo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernabe Jesco during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bernabe Jesco was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 71st match minute, Lonquimay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Jesco to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the game, Loco Firme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lonquimay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Soccer City FC the free kick. The supporters of Soccer City FC booed when Lonquimay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loco Firme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Soccer City FC's Jithu Keng couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 74th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lonquimay. Erasmo Sabino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquin Frans, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Joaquin Frans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosme Ermano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Astor Hunfredo in the 84th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidro Gumaro during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Isidro Gumaro kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Cornelio Claus might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Ermano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornelio Claus ran back to his position shaking his head. Cosme Ermano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jithu Keng in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lonquimay defense, Jithu Keng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosme Ermano. The Lonquimay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosme Ermano should have stopped the shot.
