Rene Gartzen was slow to take the kick. During this time MONARCAS's players had a chance to rest. 26 minutes into the match, MONARCAS's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Janpier came free, but Benicio Felipillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Gualeguaychú FC's Joaquin Viviano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benicio Felipillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 29th minute, Rene Gartzen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benicio Felipillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Janpier, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Gualeguaychú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Quilino to maneuver through the defense. Amerigo Staniscia made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Abel Rosario sent off a good shot on target. If Arnulfo Janpier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnulfo Janpier was the one to do the kick off. Amerigo Staniscia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Rosario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nemesio Quinteros in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amerigo Staniscia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benicio Felipillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Viviano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gualeguaychú FC booed when MONARCAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Rainerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Gualeguaychú FC's Henrik Lundberg tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Bruno Alejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
