Justo Nel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, Froilan Geofredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gualeguaychú FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Justo Nel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Soter in the 25th minute of the match. Oscar Felipo's late challenge caught a Gualeguaychú FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Felipo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gualeguaychú FC booed when Chiche y Anto en el Cielo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Felipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Felipo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Patricio Otsando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Arnulfo Janpier made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Gualeguaychú FC's Arnulfo Janpier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Justo Nel. That made the score 0-3 after 53 minutes of play. If Oscar Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualeguaychú FC's Amerigo Staniscia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Rufio in the 64th minute of play. Baldomiro Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomiro Vidal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baldomiro Vidal hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Chiche y Anto en el Cielo's Justo Nel got control of the ball when Arnulfo Janpier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Justo Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Soter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justo Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Soter in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Gualeguaychú FC booed when Chiche y Anto en el Cielo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Otsando didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Lino Soter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Justo Nel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Justo Nel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnulfo Janpier went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 96th minute, Arnulfo Janpier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gualeguaychú FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Gualeguaychú FC made a substitution. Joel Felipo replaced Sixto Milio. When the match was over Gualeguaychú FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chiche y Anto en el Cielo throughout the match.
