After 20 played minutes Yo Soy Tu Padre got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Mosen. Yo Soy Tu Padre's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Montae in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Patricio Playo made a precise shot to the right of Nery Pumpido. Yo Soy Tu Padre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 27th match minute, Bordenave was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Mendiko to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Araoz to make the kick off. A collision led to Yo Soy Tu Padre getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Filomeno Chaime hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Montae in the 52nd minute of play forced Yo Soy Tu Padre's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bordenave booed when Yo Soy Tu Padre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Eguzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Jeronimo Maurino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nery Pumpido skillfully saved the ball. Victor Mendiko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Segundo Urbez charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Segundo Urbez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Yo Soy Tu Padre got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Urbez. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Mendiko in the 78th minute. When Armando Araoz fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yo Soy Tu Padre's protests and gave Armando Araoz a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Araoz kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
