The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lisandro Lopez made in the 3rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Peter Jutz immediately put the ball in play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Playo in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Shepherd saved Ongamira from getting behind. Robustiano Shepherd came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Bordenave's Peter Jutz. But to his dismay, Peter Jutz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Casado Tramarria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hipolito Tolino went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Marcelo Formerio's late challenge caught a Bordenave's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Formerio helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes Ongamira got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Formerio. 22 minutes into the match, Bordenave's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Elodio came free, but Casado Tramarria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robustiano Shepherd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Montae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Playo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bordenave's Leonel Mano was substituted for Camilo Belmiro. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Desiderio Sesuldo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Ongamira's Marcelo Elodio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. With 63 minutes on the clock, Jeronimo Maurino commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Elodio got free with Casado Tramarria in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bordenave's Casado Tramarria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Elodio in the 76th minute of play. Emiliano Cloyo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Hipolito Tolino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Casado Tramarria skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Casado Tramarria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Elodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Desiderio Sesuldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robustiano Shepherd. Ongamira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Desiderio Sesuldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 88 played minutes Ongamira got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Azeari. 89 minutes into the match, Ongamira's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Montae came free, but Robustiano Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute of the match Bordenave got a corner. Ongamira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lisandro Lopez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Robustiano Shepherd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siro Montae, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. A collision led to Ongamira getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Marcelo Elodio hit a great ball. Leonel Mano hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The Ongamira players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bordenave from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
