Santos Manny did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Hernan Quiroga 17 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Santos Manny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Quiroga was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Rivercito FC's zone, Samuel Jaunzuria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Quiroga came out of the goal and Samuel Jaunzuria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Rivercito FC defense, Samuel Jaunzuria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernan Quiroga. The Rivercito FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernan Quiroga should have stopped the shot. Malabrigo made a substitution. Justino Cugat replaced Abelardo Oliverios. Cecilio Maju charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Maju the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
