Ciriaco Frichoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Semeno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Tristan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mario Quentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Malargüe's Genaro Monico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciriaco Frichoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Monico in the 31st minute of play forced El Kcaizer FC's goalkeeper Ciriaco Frichoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Genaro Monico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of El Kcaizer FC booed when Malargüe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Ignado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Prospero Tristan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Kcaizer FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Tristan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Genaro Monico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Genaro Monico to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Genaro Monico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malargüe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Kcaizer FC the free kick. After 52 played minutes Malargüe got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Monico. Arnulfo Semeno made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Mario Quentin sent off a good shot on target. Cipriano Lohitzun struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Arnulfo Semeno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Kcaizer FC. Cipriano Lohitzun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, El Kcaizer FC's Honorio Uxio got a free kick in the 64th minute. Amado Oier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Cipriano Lohitzun came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the El Kcaizer FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Lohitzun couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, Amado Oier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malargüe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Oier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Amado Oier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
