Rafael Juncker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Peres having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Rodeo got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Joachim. If Kadir Velican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Florida's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Juncker came free, but Geovanni Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodeo's Nicky Weaver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kadir Velican in the 34th minute of play. Franciszek Trzenzalski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Nicky Weaver made a huge save. Florida's Franciszek Trzenzalski got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kadir Velican sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the game, Sebastián Penco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nicky Weaver was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jorge Joachim's late challenge caught a Florida's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Joachim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Jorge Joachim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franciszek Trzenzalski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Rodeo's zone, Franciszek Trzenzalski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicky Weaver came out of the goal and Franciszek Trzenzalski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 66th minute of the match Jorge Joachim completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jorge Joachim a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Jorge Joachim kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Kadir Velican recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Kadir Velican managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some careless play in the Rodeo defense, Anibal Aimar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicky Weaver. The Rodeo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicky Weaver should have stopped the shot. In the 87th match minute, Florida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Aimar to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Rodeo's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián Penco came free, but Nicky Weaver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Franciszek Trzenzalski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florida's supporters rose to their feet, but Franciszek Trzenzalski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Weaver breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
