In the 25th minute Omar Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kadir Velican received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Örjan Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Franciszek Trzenzalski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Örjan Lind was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Laferrere's Rene Miliano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovanni Peres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastián Penco made a kick off. Örjan Lind came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Florida's Franciszek Trzenzalski. But to his dismay, Franciszek Trzenzalski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Örjan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastián Penco in the 55th minute of play. Generoso Figueroa made a great header on Florida's corner, it was just that San Lorenzo de Laferrere's Örjan Lind managed to reach the ball for a save. Omar Gamus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Geovanni Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kadir Velican sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Miliano kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. San Lorenzo de Laferrere's Örjan Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kadir Velican in the 64th minute of play. After having played for 65 minutes, Franciszek Trzenzalski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franciszek Trzenzalski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Florida booed when San Lorenzo de Laferrere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Dolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florida's Geovanni Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Miliano in the 75th minute of play. Waldemar Skirzynski hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Florida's Anibal Aimar was substituted for Kadir Velican. In the 78th match minute, Florida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Skirzynski to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Franciszek Trzenzalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örjan Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Florida's Vilius Narauskas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vilius Narauskas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Florida protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vilius Narauskas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Marciano Ferrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Geovanni Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anibal Aimar scored 6-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Örjan Lind, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. San Lorenzo de Laferrere's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
