Izydor Siekierka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Gabon, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Izydor Siekierka came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Anastasio Jenaro. But to his dismay, Anastasio Jenaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Izydor Siekierka was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Desiderio Fagildo fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Desiderio Fagildo a yellow card for diving instead. Desiderio Fagildo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Montae to make the kick off. PuCaRa's Izydor Siekierka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Montae in the 51st minute of play. River Plate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
