Gerardo Oihenarte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gustaw Cichewski. BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustaw Cichewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Perutxo in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Godfredo Raymon came free, but Gustaw Cichewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaw Cichewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Orlo in the 26th minute of the match. Teodosio Perutxo might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustaw Cichewski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodosio Perutxo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Cornelio Mede managed to get in a good position for a shot. BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Mede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximiliano Silban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute Cornelio Mede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximiliano Silban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Godfredo Raymon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cerrito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Godfredo Raymon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaw Cichewski having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Silvio Francho came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustaw Cichewski could save by the left post. After 59 played minutes BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Barros. Teodosio Perutxo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Maximiliano Silban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Mede in the 69th minute of the match. Teodosio Perutxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaw Cichewski having to interfere. Maximiliano Silban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Mede in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC's zone, Teodosio Perutxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaw Cichewski came out of the goal and Teodosio Perutxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodosio Perutxo scored 0-4 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustaw Cichewski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Silvio Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Zeledon Clis hit a great ball. The supporters of Cerrito booed when BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristo Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Cerrito could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BERGAMOTA GIGANTE FC throughout the match.
