The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roland Zondervan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ziemowit Mios's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute Nequen FC were awarded a corner. Ziemowit Mios went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nequen FC's goalkeeper Luis-Jose Cabezas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgardo Feo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis-Jose Cabezas having to make a save. If Cayetano Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cuervos de Boedo's Cayetano Basajaun got a free kick in the 27th minute. Ziemowit Mios took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roland Zondervan. Cuervos de Boedo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marciano Cordeal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roland Zondervan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After 30 minutes Cuervos de Boedo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ziemowit Mios who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which 刘光昂 managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ziemowit Mios recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, 刘光昂 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Marciano Cordeal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nequen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Cordeal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Zondervan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roland Zondervan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ziemowit Mios in the 43rd minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Cuervos de Boedo's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolo Azevedo came free, but Roland Zondervan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cuervos de Boedo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ziemowit Mios was slow to take the kick. During this time Nequen FC's players had a chance to rest. Ziemowit Mios made a great header on Nequen FC's corner, it was just that Cuervos de Boedo's Roland Zondervan managed to reach the ball for a save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ziemowit Mios to make the kick off. Ziemowit Mios who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Roland Zondervan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cuervos de Boedo's José Luis Brown quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lucas Matthew, made in the 74th minute of the game.
