The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Herrier were awarded a corner. Alfredo Clodio went to the cornerflag to take it. Emilio Lucero was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Bruno Pascal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Estevon in the 11th minute of the match. Herrier's Romeo Constancio got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Justo Izotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Eneko, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With his leg Bruno Pascal managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Herrier's Gustavo Estevon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niceto Perpinya in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justo Izotz saved Herrier from getting behind. In the 26th match minute, Herrier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Clodio to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Herrier's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Eneko came free, but Justo Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justo Izotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Havier in the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Alfredo Clodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Pascal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marciano Barrionuevo fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Herrier's protests and gave Marciano Barrionuevo a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Herrier got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Barrionuevo. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustavo Estevon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Pascal. That made the score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Estevon to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Herrier's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Perpinya came free, but Justo Izotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Diego Eneko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Izotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Herrier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Lucero to maneuver through the defense. Justo Izotz made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Igor Havier sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Herrier booed when Deportivo Gamberro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eloy Ezkerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Gamberro's zone, Gustavo Estevon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Pascal came out of the goal and Gustavo Estevon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herrier's Justo Izotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Perpinya in the 62nd minute of play. When Sebastian Hermon fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Gamberro's protests and gave Sebastian Hermon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Sebastian Hermon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Pascal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Constancio in the 64th minute of play. Justo Izotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Perpinya in the 67th minute of the match. After 69 minutes, Eduardo Frantzes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Gamberro and the Herrier players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th minute, Eduardo Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 69 played minutes, Herrier's Alfredo Clodio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Pascal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Herrier reached it. With a little luck, Herrier's Justo Izotz got control of the ball when Igor Havier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Justo Izotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Perpinya in the 73rd minute of the match. Justo Izotz came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Gamberro's Diego Eneko. But to his dismay, Diego Eneko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Niceto Perpinya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Estevon in the 80th minute of play forced Deportivo Gamberro's goalkeeper Bruno Pascal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Pascal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Estevon's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Gamberro's zone, Gustavo Estevon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Pascal came out of the goal and Gustavo Estevon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Herrier's Gustavo Estevon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Pascal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barrie Kemp hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Bruno Pascal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustavo Estevon went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Herrier walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
