An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Bueno in the 34th minute of play forced Trinche FC's goalkeeper Thijs Spanjaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Trinche FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Segundo Perpinya hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mincho Staevski got free with Thijs Spanjaard in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thijs Spanjaard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mincho Staevski's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Mincho Staevski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thijs Spanjaard having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Trinche FC's zone, Mincho Staevski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thijs Spanjaard came out of the goal and Mincho Staevski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trinche FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Cesinha Eger scored to the left of an out of position Thijs Spanjaard, making the score, 3-2. Trinche FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Serafim Bueno 48 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Efrain Dimas to make the kick off. Thijs Spanjaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mincho Staevski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Trinche FC defense, Serafim Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thijs Spanjaard. The Trinche FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thijs Spanjaard should have stopped the shot.
