The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Deportivo Roca's Valentin Gaitan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Felipillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gregorio Oto hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Holaneta's Amado Haritz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silverio Maura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hermengildo Gutxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Filiberto Esdras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amado Haritz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Silverio Maura made a huge save. A collision led to Holaneta getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Remigio Pudes hit a great ball. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Holaneta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carolo Irrintzi was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Roca's players had a chance to rest. When Valentin Barea fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Roca's protests and gave Valentin Barea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute of the match, Hugo Edur tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silverio Maura saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience was convinced that Hugo Edur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silverio Maura was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Hermengildo Gutxi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Holaneta's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Gaitan came free, but Juan Felipillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Gutxi in the 46th minute of the match. Amado Haritzs short, quick shot in the 48thth minute got Silverio Maura to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Edur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silverio Maura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Edur in the 58th minute of play. Holaneta's Hugo Edur got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Hugo Edur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Maura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Valentin Barea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Pudes's late challenge caught a Deportivo Roca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remigio Pudes helped the player get up and apologised. Remigio Pudes hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Hugo Edur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Holaneta's Apolo Chan got a free kick in the 81st minute. Juan Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Gutxi in the 85th minute of the match. Carolo Irrintzi kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Amado Haritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silverio Maura having to interfere. After 97 minutes of play, Deportivo Roca's Valentin Gaitan made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Felipillo was left in no man's land by his defense there!
