A well placed Aníbal Santana short distance shot in the 23rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. A collision led to Girardet getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sonny Dalberg hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filiberto Celio during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arnoldo Bero kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Villa Del Plata's Mauricio Leobardo got control of the ball when Sebastian Solustiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauricio Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th match minute, Girardet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Pacifico to maneuver through the defense. Mauricio Leobardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Santana in the 55th minute of the match. Mauricio Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Santana in the 56th minute of play. Mauricio Leobardo came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Girardet's Teodoro de Salles. But to his dismay, Teodoro de Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Mauricio Leobardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Mauricio Leobardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Pacifico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Villa Del Plata defense, Aníbal Santana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauricio Leobardo. The Villa Del Plata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Leobardo should have stopped the shot. In the 67th match minute, Villa Del Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Bastiaro to maneuver through the defense. Raul James made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teo Phelipe in the 70th minute. Mauricio Leobardo came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Girardet's Sonny Dalberg. But to his dismay, Sonny Dalberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. In the 87th match minute, Girardet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Santana to maneuver through the defense. Teo Phelipe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Raul James skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro de Salles in the 90th minute of play forced Villa Del Plata's goalkeeper Mauricio Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul James took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Jakes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Girardet's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Serafin Bastiaro was slow to take the kick. During this time Villa Del Plata's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Villa Del Plata's Serafin Bastiaro to fire away a dangerous shot which Raul James despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Villa Del Plata players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Girardet.
