An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Veiga in the 16th minute of play forced Libertador Nacional's goalkeeper Amado Sasoin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Isaac Tuste fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Libertador Nacional's protests and gave Isaac Tuste a yellow card for diving instead. Isaac Tuste hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The supporters of Fátima booed when Libertador Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Libertador Nacional's Amado Sasoin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Laffitte in the 29th minute of play. Amado Sasoin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Lekubegi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gualterio Loramendi kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Ramon Lekubegi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Amado Sasoin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 42 minutes into the match, Rafael Veiga notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Libertador Nacional's Amado Sasoin. Amado Sasoin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Fátima were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramon Lekubegi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Fátima's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Errando came free, but Arturo Ardines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Flavio Laffitte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amado Sasoin. Libertador Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavio Laffitte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Conrado Mirande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Arturo Ardines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Fátima's Flavio Laffitte slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amado Sasoin. That made the score 0-7 after 67 minutes of play. A collision led to Libertador Nacional getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Serafino Mantzio hit a great ball. Libertador Nacional's Amado Sasoin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Libertador Nacional from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Mirande in the 73rd minute of play forced Fátima's goalkeeper Arturo Ardines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogelio Bernebe kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Libertador Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Bernebe to maneuver through the defense.
