In the 9th minute, Felipe Cordeara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apolo Marz in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquiles Lapurdi saved Dominico F.C. from getting behind. Fernan Cruz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Matias Aurre's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Aquiles Lapurdi - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 17th minute. When Alberto Marin fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dominico F.C.'s protests and gave Alberto Marin a yellow card for diving instead. Lázaro Danel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Marin in the 35th minute. Lázaro Danel came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Dominico F.C.'s Felipe Cordeara. But to his dismay, Felipe Cordeara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Lugano Futbol's Lázaro Danel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Lugano Futbol from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Marin in the 43rd minute of play forced Lugano Futbol's goalkeeper Lázaro Danel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lázaro Danel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Apolo Marz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When Nemesio Bras came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Lugano Futbol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Bras couldn't finish the play. After having played for 53 minutes, Julio Azeari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugano Futbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Azeari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lázaro Danel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeo Maule went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Lugano Futbol getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Guido Elazar hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Remigio Firmo notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Lugano Futbol's Lázaro Danel. Lázaro Danel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Dominico F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Dominico F.C.'s Alberto Marin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 73 minutes, Alberto Marin made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Lugano Futbol's Lázaro Danel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lázaro Danel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Olof Tinglöv took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lázaro Danel. Lázaro Danel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1.
