Spectators: 7522 (Terracing: 5696, Seating: 1746, VIP seats: 80) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fabrício Pedrozo kicked off to start the match. INDEPENDIENTE's Jaime Icedo got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 4th minute, Jaime Icedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Rojelio kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Benedicto Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Tagliamonte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matías Tagliamonte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Icedo in the 19th minute of the match. Jaime Icedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 24 played minutes Club Atlético Alvarado got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Bingen. Club Atlético Alvarado's Matías Tagliamonte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Václav Lux in the 27th minute of play. Godofredo Bras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Pedrozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Esteve Maura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matías Tagliamonte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Icedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedicto Gamus to make the kick off. INDEPENDIENTE's Benedicto Gamus pulled a muscle in his leg after 50 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Alan Engelsen fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Alvarado's protests and gave Alan Engelsen a yellow card for diving instead. INDEPENDIENTE made a substitution. Cristobal Karmel replaced Benedicto Gamus. In the 52nd minute Jaime Icedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Tagliamonte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE booed when Club Atlético Alvarado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Onofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Formerio. Cristobal Karmel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matías Tagliamonte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Matías Tagliamonte made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cristobal Karmel sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute Jaime Icedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Tagliamonte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Icedo in the 68th minute of play forced Club Atlético Alvarado's goalkeeper Matías Tagliamonte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Pedrozo took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godofredo Bras. Godofredo Bras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Matías Tagliamonte had great luck who in the 74thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jaime Icedo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When INDEPENDIENTE's Jaime Icedo in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Matías Tagliamonte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Karmel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE's Jaime Icedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matías Tagliamonte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Icedo got free with Matías Tagliamonte in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTE's Clodoveo Gonzo got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Clodoveo Gonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
