After 3 played minutes Lugano Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Calvino. After having played for 4 minutes, Václav Lux managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INDEPENDIENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Václav Lux was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute, Jaime Icedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lázaro Danel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 13 minutes into the game, Anacleto Karmel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lázaro Danel. Anacleto Karmel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 16th minute, INDEPENDIENTE's Václav Lux ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lázaro Danel. Lázaro Danel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 23 minutes into the game, Benedicto Gamus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Lázaro Danel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute, Emanuel Rutenio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Václav Lux took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lázaro Danel. Lugano Futbol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ildefonso Herena kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Benedicto Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lázaro Danel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Icedo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Jaime Icedo made a precise shot to the right of Lázaro Danel. Lugano Futbol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 37 minutes into the game, INDEPENDIENTE's Václav Lux nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lázaro Danel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. When Benedicto Gamus fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INDEPENDIENTE's protests and gave Benedicto Gamus a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lugano Futbol booed when INDEPENDIENTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Gamus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Václav Lux had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lázaro Danel. Lugano Futbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Václav Lux was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benedicto Gamus to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Icedo in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lázaro Danel saved Lugano Futbol from getting behind. Lázaro Danel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Václav Lux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Jaime Icedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lázaro Danel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. INDEPENDIENTE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
