In the 14th minute Jaime Icedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Hermon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Václav Lux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Domingos Hermon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Bras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Belarmo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, INDEPENDIENTE's Domingos Hermon threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaime Icedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Domingos Hermon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Icedo's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Domingos Hermon made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Benedicto Gamus sent off a good shot on target. Benedicto Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, INDEPENDIENTE's Jaime Icedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingos Hermon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 34th minute, Jaime Icedo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Domingos Hermon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benedicto Gamus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 36 minute of play. Godofredo Bras stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Belarmo's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTE's Higinio Macerio got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Godofredo Bras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Belarmo in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Jaime Icedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 54 played minutes New York RB got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Dorio. Domingos Hermon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Václav Lux in the 54th minute of the match. After 56 minutes, Salvador Cidro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York RB and the INDEPENDIENTE players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Jaime Icedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Hermon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Icedo in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Benedicto Gamus made a precise shot to the right of Domingos Hermon. New York RB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. New York RB's Domingos Hermon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Václav Lux in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, New York RB's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Icedo came free, but Domingos Hermon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Hermon came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by INDEPENDIENTE's Jaime Icedo. But to his dismay, Jaime Icedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. With his leg Godofredo Bras managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when New York RB's Elias Belarmo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. INDEPENDIENTE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
