The supporters of Real Madrid booed when Bahia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliberto Enekoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6thth minute of the game Armando Lucian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahia's Georgi Velinov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leon Gonzo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Jonas Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Mingo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidoro Edorta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Real Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Koehler came free, but Isidoro Edorta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Armando Lucian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georgi Velinov came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Madrid's Armando Lucian. But to his dismay, Armando Lucian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Real Madrid fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Real Madrid's Armando Lucian looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Isidoro Edorta acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alberto Salvidor. A collision led to Bahia getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Eloy Sol hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Salvidor. Bahia's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Oroitz in the 30th minute of play. Georgi Velinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Evangelista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Real Madrid's Armando Lucian got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Lucian, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olger Obando during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Madrid fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! When Olger Obando was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. In the 44th match minute, Real Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olger Obando to maneuver through the defense. Real Madrid's Isidoro Edorta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid from getting a goal against them.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Mingo made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Bahia's Sandro Koehler got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes Real Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Cortez. Isidoro Edorta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Koehler in the 65th minute of play. Anier Lucado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anier Lucado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Georgi Velinov made a huge save. In the 74th play minute Cornelio Oroitz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Georgi Velinov. 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angel Evangelista got free with Georgi Velinov in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes into the game, Jonas Mingo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Madrid the free kick. After 78 played minutes Bahia got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Mingo. 80 minutes into the game, Sandro Koehler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Isidoro Edorta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, Anier Lucado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Feliberto Enekoitz in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidoro Edorta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feliberto Enekoitz spun around in front of the goal 89 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Real Madrid's goal. Isidoro Edorta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Mingo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Oroitz came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anier Lucado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georgi Velinov having to interfere. When the match was over Real Madrid could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bahia throughout the match.
