Los Tigres de Funes's Cristian Rayman got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Los Tigres de Funes's Georgi Velinov threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ivan Lorenz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 17 minutes into the game, Eduardo Cordarell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Tigres de Funes the free kick. 20 minutes into the match, Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Lorenz came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Ivan Lorenz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bahia's Georgi Velinov. Georgi Velinov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Bahia's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Montez. Jeremias Montez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Jeremias Montez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Georgi Velinov. Jeremias Montez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 43 minutes into the match, Los Tigres de Funes's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Mingo came free, but Geronimo Su reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georgi Velinov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Rayman in the 45th minute. Jeremias Montez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Georgi Velinov made a huge save. In the 47th minute of the match, Esteve Bilbo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Georgi Velinov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jonas Mingo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Rayman made a precise shot to the right of Georgi Velinov. Bahia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Eloy Sol hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Lorenz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Bahia defense, Cristian Rayman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georgi Velinov. The Bahia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georgi Velinov should have stopped the shot. Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Rayman, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Eloy Sol lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Eloy Sol kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Ivan Lorenz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georgi Velinov was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 92nd minute Enzo Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Georgi Velinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Montez, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Los Tigres de Funes fully deserved thier win.
