The shot was stopped by Marcelo Florinio but with some difficulty. If Silvestre Salvadore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lucio Etxahun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Errolan having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goalkeeper Marcelo Florinio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ntinos Karaliopoulos. Messi FC's Osvaldo Errolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Chabier in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Ave Fenix's Marcelo Florinio got control of the ball when Ntinos Karaliopoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goalkeeper Marcelo Florinio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian León. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Salvadore to make the kick off. Messi FC's Osvaldo Errolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Salvadore in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Teobaldo Gonza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Florinio. Ave Fenix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teobaldo Gonza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Osvaldo Errolan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvestre Salvadore's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Messi FC's Ntinos Karaliopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Florinio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Geronimo Domeka's late challenge caught a Messi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geronimo Domeka helped the player get up and apologised. Geronimo Domeka hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Messi FC's Leonardo Ler was substituted for Dinu Nișu. A collision led to Ave Fenix getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Geronimo Domeka hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Ler came free, but Marcelo Florinio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Salvadore hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Errolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Salvadore in the 79th minute of the match. After 81 minutes of play, Messi FC's Teobaldo Gonza made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Florinio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute Victor Dominic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Florinio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ave Fenix defense, Teobaldo Gonza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Florinio. The Ave Fenix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Florinio should have stopped the shot. If Victor Dominic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes of play, Messi FC's Ntinos Karaliopoulos made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Florinio was left in no man's land by his defense there!
