Justino Koldo struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Pascual Erramun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ave Fenix. With a little luck, Manzano's Pascual Erramun got control of the ball when Cipriano Garin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Manzano's Gustavo Dantel in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ave Fenix's goalie prevented a goal. Ave Fenix's Marcelo Florinio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Pueblo in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Frank de Boer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manzano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ave Fenix the free kick. After 15 played minutes Manzano got a freekick which was hit by Frank de Boer. In the 20th minute, Generoso Frances hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Florinio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantino Pueblo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Manzano's zone, Cipriano Garin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascual Erramun came out of the goal and Cipriano Garin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Manzano booed when Ave Fenix was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Florinio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Pueblo in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Justino Koldo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Manzano's Pascual Erramun. Pascual Erramun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th minute, Generoso Frances hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cazimir Zegreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Chano in the 44th minute of play forced Ave Fenix's goalkeeper Marcelo Florinio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Garin to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Justino Koldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Erramun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Generoso Frances managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ave Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Frances was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascual Erramun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Ave Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Pueblo came free, but Marcelo Florinio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ave Fenix's Modesto Weterio got a free kick in the 58th minute. A collision led to Manzano getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Romulo Enekoitz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Manzano's Constantino Pueblo got a free kick in the 64th minute. Justino Koldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pascual Erramun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Salvadore in the 68th minute of the match. Cosme Chano kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Justino Koldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascual Erramun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Justino Koldo ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justino Koldo in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascual Erramun saved Manzano from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Dantel in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Florinio saved Ave Fenix from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Manzano's Romulo Enekoitz got a free kick in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baldomero Ritchie during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute of the match Cazimir Zegreanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Florinio skillfully saved the ball. If Cipriano Garin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Salvadore in the 93rd minute of play forced Manzano's goalkeeper Pascual Erramun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pascual Erramun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Garin in the 94th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Manzano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ave Fenix.
