Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eleuterio Ekain in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ceferino Lartaun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ceferino Lartaun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amado Nalo went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Guaberto Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cachiyuyu's Delmar Lizar pulled a muscle in his back after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 28 played minutes Tucumancito got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Loramendi. 2-2 became the score in the 30th minute when Amado Nalo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Tucumancito's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Ramirez came free, but Leonides Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ceferino Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Nalo in the 37th minute of the match. Delmar Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ceferino Lartaun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Ekain in the 45th minute of play. Segundo Rocio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience was convinced that Miguel Godoy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonides Ferdinand was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Tucumancito's Amado Nalo got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Nalo got free with Ceferino Lartaun in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Amado Nalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Ramirez charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guaberto Ramirez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cachiyuyu's Ceferino Lartaun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Nalo in the 64th minute of play. Miguel Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Leonides Ferdinand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amado Nalo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Tucumancito's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the last second Ceferino Lartaun throw himself and got hold of the ball when Amado Nalo in the 70thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Tucumancito's Amador Geofredo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ceferino Lartaun. That made the score 2-3 after 71 minutes of play. 75 minutes into the game, Tucumancito's Amado Nalo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ceferino Lartaun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Ceferino Lartaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Ekain in the 78th minute of the match. After 79 minutes Cachiyuyu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arnaldo Erruki who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Tucumancito's Amado Nalo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 89 minutes, Delmar Primo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cachiyuyu and the Tucumancito players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Amado Nalo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ceferino Lartaun was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, Amador Geofredo notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Cachiyuyu's Ceferino Lartaun. Ceferino Lartaun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 96 minutes of play Tucumancito's Gualterio Gaufred was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the final whistle sounded Tucumancito left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cachiyuyu.
