The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 2 in the game by Cipriano Matxin from a close distance when the talented Higinio Ferran managed to make a qualified save. Lomitas's players were relieved. After 4 minutes of play, Great Footballers S.A.'s Cipriano Matxin made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higinio Ferran was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Trotta during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lomitas getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Diego Trotta hit a great ball. Cipriano Matxin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Higinio Ferran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebio Orlo scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conrado Dei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute Eusebio Orlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Dei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Lomitas's Eusebio Orlo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conrado Dei was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Lomitas's Marcelo Bermund, in the 33rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Lomitas. In the 35th match minute, Lomitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Fernanco to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Cipriano Matxin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Higinio Ferran. That made the score 2-3 in the 42 minute of play. Great Footballers S.A.'s Conrado Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Bermund in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Lomitas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Lluciano to maneuver through the defense. The Great Footballers S.A. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lomitas were winning 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Matxin made a kick off. A collision led to Lomitas getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Diego Trotta hit a great ball. Conrado Dei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Bermund in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute Cipriano Matxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Ferran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Ferran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Matxin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Astor Errapel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Higinio Ferran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lomitas's zone, Cipriano Matxin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Ferran came out of the goal and Cipriano Matxin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Great Footballers S.A.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilberto Manilan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 94 minutes into the match, Lomitas's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Matxin came free, but Higinio Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cipriano Matxin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
