Fernando Gago lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 2nd minute, one of Roma FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Roma FC. Fermin Kaiet was a little too slow when Rodrigo Beremundo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fermin Kaiet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Chap in the 23rd minute of the match. Fulgencio Palos took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximiliano Eutropio. Maximiliano Eutropio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 29 minutes into the game, Patrick Vander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Maximiliano Eutropio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Aquilino Tonete hit a great ball. Fulgencio Palos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Eutropio having to interfere. Racing Club's Maximiliano Eutropio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Vachon in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Beremundo to make the kick off. Aquilino Tonete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fermin Kaiet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Leonardo Chap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Kaiet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Paulino Gartzen got a free kick in the 65th minute. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Roma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nemesio Ariando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Madaleno kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Racing Club's Maximiliano Eutropio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Tono in the 73rd minute of play. Roma FC's Fermin Kaiet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Tonete in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Roma FC's Teodoro Eguntsenti got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Fulgencio Palos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roma FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Palos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edelmiro Sanson kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Teofilo Tono put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Maximiliano Eutropio. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Saverio Gilabert got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Fabricio Vachon, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the final whistle sounded Roma FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Racing Club.
