But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Eate couldn't finish the play. In the 24th match minute, Chacarita Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Hilbrands to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Naranja Mecanica FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Laureano Lehoi hit a great ball. Gonzalo Galsino hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, Chacarita Juniors's Benjamin Txeru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Urbano Nerio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 36th minute, Prudencio Dorio made a precise shot to the right of Jose Arixo. Chacarita Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 41 minutes into the game, Benjamin Txeru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Urbano Nerio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Prudencio Dorio was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Georges-Philippe Puttemas in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urbano Nerio saved Naranja Mecanica FC from getting behind. Benjamin Txeru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 played minutes Chacarita Juniors got a freekick which was hit by David Luke. After 69 minutes, Georges-Philippe Puttemas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita Juniors and the Naranja Mecanica FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chacarita Juniors getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Georges-Philippe Puttemas hit a great ball. In the 78th minute Georges-Philippe Puttemas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes, Everardo Santxol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naranja Mecanica FC and the Chacarita Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chacarita Juniors's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
