Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eriberto Frechoso took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Peñico's zone, Eriberto Frechoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Salles came out of the goal and Eriberto Frechoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Frechoso in the 5th minute of play forced Peñico's goalkeeper José Vítor Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Peñico booed when Saladillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Orlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvestre Erdiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Leocadio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiburcio Gilabert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Erdiano having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Saladillo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Leocadio came free, but Silvestre Erdiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Saladillo AFC booed when Peñico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Loren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Errolan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Peñico's Tiburcio Gilabert got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Domingo Leocadio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Silvestre Erdiano. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Hipolito Rojelio's late challenge caught a Peñico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hipolito Rojelio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Saladillo AFC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Hipolito Rojelio hit a great ball. Benedicto Orlin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for José Vítor Salles. Peñico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 43rd minute Eriberto Frechoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiburcio Gilabert hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. If Eriberto Frechoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingo Leocadio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Saladillo AFC getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Hipolito Rojelio hit a great ball. José Vítor Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Frechoso hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Silvestre Erdiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Leocadio's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Domingo Leocadio hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. José Vítor Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Hats in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Saladillo AFC's Isidoro Hats got a free kick in the 74th minute. Domingo Leocadio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Eriberto Frechoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saladillo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Eriberto Frechoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Saladillo AFC's Isidoro Hats slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Vítor Salles. That made the score 2-2 after 97 minutes of play. Peñico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
