INDEPENDIENTE's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Gomez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modesto Godoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arocena FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Evelio Gomez 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Agustin Beila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Godoy having to interfere. Modesto Godoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modesto Godoy was a little too slow when Siro Sesuldo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Evelio Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victor Bladi might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Modesto Godoy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Bladi ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Arocena FC's Isidro Iratze got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Arocena FC's goalkeeper Modesto Godoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Bladi. Modesto Godoy was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Evelio Gomez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. INDEPENDIENTE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A. INDEPENDIENTE. Mariano Telesforo had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Albano Txurio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Bladi made a kick off. Victor Bladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Modesto Godoy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Arocena FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Grabiel. If Agustin Beila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's Mariano Telesforo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. INDEPENDIENTE from getting a goal against them. After 67 minutes of play, C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's Victor Bladi made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Modesto Godoy was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Arocena FC defense, Agustin Beila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Modesto Godoy. The Arocena FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Modesto Godoy should have stopped the shot. If Victor Bladi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Arocena FC's goalkeeper Modesto Godoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Arocena FC defense, Roberto Valery kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Modesto Godoy. The Arocena FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Modesto Godoy should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agustin Beila in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Modesto Godoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Victor Bladi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that C.A. INDEPENDIENTE were the better team. C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
