After 3 played minutes Neisseria FC got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Rumaldo. After a defensive mix-up in Neisseria FC's zone, Evelio Gomez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Astigar came out of the goal and Evelio Gomez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evelio Gomez in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nereo Astigar saved Neisseria FC from getting behind. In the 7th minute, Miguel Jerrald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Agustin Beila made a precise shot to the right of Nereo Astigar. Neisseria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Elias Bratt took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Mariano Telesforo to make any attempt to save it. Mariano Telesforo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aquiles Socorro's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.A. INDEPENDIENTE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Mariano Telesforo was a little too slow when Elias Bratt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 3-1. After a rather tough play, Neisseria FC's Aquiles Socorro got a free kick in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the game, Mauricio Benet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mariano Telesforo. Mauricio Benet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Nereo Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Gomez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neisseria FC's Nereo Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Gomez in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Evelio Gomez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evelio Gomez was the one to do the kick off. Nereo Astigar made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Agustin Beila sent off a good shot on target. Roberto Valery charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto Valery the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. INDEPENDIENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Gomez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Socorro came free, but Mariano Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neisseria FC's Nereo Astigar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Neisseria FC from getting a goal against them. Nereo Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Gomez in the 68th minute of the match. Evelio Gomez struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Nereo Astigar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. INDEPENDIENTE. Nereo Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Gomez in the 76th minute of play. Victor Bladi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Nereo Astigar made a huge save. After having played for 79 minutes, Victor Bladi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Bladi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arsenio Marin kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Bratt in the 93rd minute of play forced C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Mariano Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Neisseria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Gomez came free, but Nereo Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A. INDEPENDIENTE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
