Sarmiento de Junin's Robbie Boshuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Iruinea in the 6th minute of play. Ernesto Benitez charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Benitez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marco Santo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Gabon, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Iruinea in the 17th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Junin's goalkeeper Robbie Boshuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Bo Ran in the 34th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Junin's goalkeeper Robbie Boshuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robbie Boshuis made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Isauro Sota sent off a good shot on target. If Abel Quentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Morteros's Hermengildo Iruinea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robbie Boshuis. That made the score 3-0 after 41 minutes of play. In the 45th minute, Morteros's Cai Bo Ran dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Gabon to make the kick off. The supporters of Morteros booed when Sarmiento de Junin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Sandaili didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Bo Ran in the 60th minute of play forced Sarmiento de Junin's goalkeeper Robbie Boshuis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
