In the 19th minute of the match, Arnulfo Txurio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dionisio Millrick was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 20th minute, Atlanta FC's Eustacio Rameriz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 25 minutes of play, Atlanta FC's Eustacio Rameriz made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dionisio Millrick was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernardino Elorri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Frederik, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Leopoldo Colon kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Hiram Walker's Dionisio Millrick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Hiram Walker from getting a goal against them. With his leg Dionisio Millrick managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Atlanta FC's Eustacio Rameriz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arnulfo Txurio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Eustacio Rameriz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dionisio Millrick. Eustacio Rameriz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlanta FC's Eustacio Rameriz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dionisio Millrick. That made the score 5-0 after 40 minutes of play. If Eustacio Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlanta FC's Eustacio Rameriz got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustacio Rameriz was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Eustacio Rameriz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dionisio Millrick was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Octavio Clodio's late challenge caught a Atlanta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Clodio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Atlanta FC booed when Hiram Walker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Cilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Arnulfo Txurio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dionisio Millrick was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Eustacio Rameriz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dionisio Millrick having to make a save. If Eustacio Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Millrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Rameriz in the 73rd minute of play. Bernardino Elorri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victoriano Azubeli in the 76th minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Eustacio Rameriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlanta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustacio Rameriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hiram Walker's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
