Spectators: 6550 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marengo's Tomas Klack started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 minutes of play, Chanilao FC's Urbano Bartoli made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Freitas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Serafim Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 13 played minutes Chanilao FC got a freekick which was hit by Amado Urki. Amauri Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Serafim Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Urbano Bartoli notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Marengo's Serafim Freitas. Serafim Freitas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Chanilao FC fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Chanilao FC's Urbano Bartoli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 28 minutes of play, Chanilao FC's Urbano Bartoli made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafim Freitas was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Urbano Bartoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Urbano Bartoli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amauri Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Serafim Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chanilao FC's Oscar Ubarna was substituted for Urbano Bartoli. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Ubarna to strike the kick off in the second half. Chanilao FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eugenio Peru in the 54th minute. Anibal Sotil was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience was convinced that Oscar Ubarna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serafim Freitas was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Amauri Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafim Freitas having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Gaby Milito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marengo and the Chanilao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Marengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaby Milito to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, Chanilao FC's Amauri Ferreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafim Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. 72 minutes into the match, Oscar Ubarna dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Serafim Freitas, 0-7. Oscar Ubarna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Serafim Freitas came out and tried to block the shot, but Oscar Ubarna slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute Anibal Sotil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafim Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Policarpio kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Oscar Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th match minute, Chanilao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Fernendo to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Klack might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaac Chuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Klack ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Chanilao FC booed when Marengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horacio Silbestre didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Oscar Ubarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Ubarna in the 98th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Chanilao FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marengo.
